| ¾ cup shortening |
| 1 cup sugar |
| 4 Tbsp. molasses |
| 1 egg |
| Add: |
| 2 cups flour |
| 2 ½ tsp. baking soda |
| 1 tsp. ginger |
| 1 tsp. cinnamon |
| 1 tsp. allspice
|
| Preheat oven at 350 degrees. | |
| Roll into little balls, then in sugar. Do not flatten. | |
| Bake on ungreased cookie sheets. | |
| Take from oven when golden brown (still balled up) and just beginning to crack (about 7-8 minutes). | |
| Let stand 5 minutes before removing from cookie sheet. |
