Melt-in-your-mouth Blueberry Cake

1 ½ c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
2 eggs, separated
½ c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ½ c. blueberries

bulletSift flour, baking powder and salt together
bulletCream shortening and sugar and beat in egg yolks
bulletAdd vanilla and milk alternately with dry ingredients
bulletFold in beaten egg whites and then blueberries
bulletBake in greased 8 or 9 inch square pan at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
bulletSprinkle with powdered sugar after cooling.
